Crocodile Pete is a story about a young boy who
moves into a new
neighbourhood and has to go to a new school as a result. Picked on,
harassed, beaten up several times by school yard bullies, and scared to
death, Steve goes through the hoops of the school system and his mothers
intervention. But after that all falls through and Steve is continually
bullied, desperate times call for desperate measures. Thanks to a dream
and
some inspiration, Steve learns to stand up for himself and to fight back
in self defence when there are no other options left for him to use.
This story came out of necessity. It's moral is that when there is danger
and there is no one left to look after you, to survive you have to have
the
confidence to look after yourself and you must have the ability to then
get
yourself out of harms way on your own. It's a tough lesson but it is so
very true when we look at how people live all over the world. Bullying is
everywhere. Stand up to it in any way that you can if it affects your
life.
